The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Youth Market Director (YMD) in our San Antonio office. Under the direction of the Vice President, the YMD is responsible for implementing the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge, American Heart Challenge, and District Heart Challenge. This position works with school-based coordinators (typically the PE Teacher) and the school principal to raise funds through our school based educational fundraising program. The YMD will act as the American Heart Association liaison with superintendents, district staff, and school-based staff in the San Antonio area (you can enter territory info here, as needed). We have 130 active school accounts and a total of about 450 schools in the territory. The goal for this position is $263,000
This position is also responsible for performing assemblies throughout many of the schools and must be comfortable presenting to a large group of children and adults. This position is responsible for achieving income and recruitment goals through the management of existing customers, and prospecting for and cultivating of new school accounts. This position has a fundraising goal this year of approximately $674K net next year.
This position is currently a home based position with limited travel but will require you to be in the territory 75% of your time once travel is allowed. We offer a yearly salary, incentive for exceeding the fundraising goals, travel reimbursement and a great benefits package.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree.
Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must have at least proficient knowledge and skill with office-related computer programs used for word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
Must be at least 18 years old.
