American Heart Association Revenue Associate in Dallas, Texas

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Revenue Associate based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX!

This position will work in a hybrid setting (in the office 2-3 days a week) in our Dallas office if within the DFW metroplex. If outside of DFW metroplex, will be expected to travel to the National Center office in Dallas as needed.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for recording and accounting for revenue activities including, but not limited to cash receipts, invoicing amounts due from outside companies; tracking and allocating designated contributions; as well as support of the revenue generating and revenue neutral activities. Responsible for various data entry and other clerical assignments.

  • Prepares the daily deposit for checks received at American Heart Association National Center

  • Monitors the shared department email and determines the best course of action to resolve request

  • Prepares the daily CDS upload file for processing by Revenue Associates

  • Ensures cash receipts and accounts receivable functions adhere to prescribed internal control environment

  • Communicates frequently with National Center and Regional staff in resolving accounts receivable or cash receipts problems

  • Sorts and delivers mail to appropriate department

  • Downloads and distributes daily Fidelity file for processing by Revenue Associates

  • Reviews checks scanned through Ensenta App

  • Assists manager with revenue allocation entries to the general ledger and reporting requirements

  • Processes credit card transactions and refunds for various on-line e-commerce systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

  • Two (2) – Five (5) years of relevant experience

  • Skilled in PC applications including Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point

  • Skilled in computer accounting applications

  • Ability to learn, think, reason and problem solve

  • Ability to interact with all levels of National Center and Regional staff

  • Ability to analyze numbers and interpret findings, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to communicate with people in person, by telephone, and email

  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Experience:

  • Completed college courses in accounting
