The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Reporting Analyst.
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for consulting with internal customers to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights that accelerate profitable growth and improve the Professional Membership and Science Operation's competitive position. This position will provide focused strategic planning with analytics in areas of interest to Professional Membership, annual conferences, including the annual Scientific Sessions, and several specialty conferences throughout the year, with in conference analysis and trends to support business decisions. Conduct digital analyses and analytics across the Professional Membership OSO Data Services department portfolio, developing and recommending new business strategies and marketing tactics to apply current digital best practices and engagement strategies to provide the business with reports and recommendations. This position is also responsible for translating business data requirements into dashboard and ad hoc reporting resources, working with technology partners and vendors to ensure accurate electronic-process flow. The candidate will be responsible for providing and conducting analytics on customer and operations data to support planning and marketing efforts for OSO initiatives, looking for efficiencies to reduce manual and/or outdated processing, reduce errors and the need for staff dependency to access information.

Responsibilities
Evaluates ad hoc data requests and provides output to meet the requirements. Analyzes business processes and seeks more efficient and reliable solutions using technology. Work with internal and external vendors to supervise continuity of importing external data files. Deliver training to end-users, as needed.
Builds and maintains sophisticated analytical reports for OSO Professional Membership and Marketing Managers. Interacts with American Heart Association internal technology staff to ensure smooth transition and ongoing monitoring of data from CRM platforms and analytical dashboards. Perform primary statistical analyses for projects and reports seeking efficient solutions using technology.
Design, development, testing, implementation, and on-going management of CRM data and other related resources. Doing this in concert with our primary vendors to ensure we have quality data for program analytics and accurate program management resources. Work directly with Business Technology (BT) resources to ensure data appropriately and accurately reflects program progress, gaps, leverage points and other critical business information for senior management, and volunteers as well as providing reports and data standards. Steward the data, troubleshooting data quality.
Manages the support and development of data and reporting solutions aligned with corporate strategies, goals and objectives. Works with peers and technical staff to determine the data quality and remediation steps required to optimally source, map and transform data into target systems.
Analyzes digital functionality, metrics and data to serve the needs of Professional Membership and Science Operations digital portfolio and execute digital strategies, including web traffic, SEO, user behavior, email marketing statistics, and social media trends. Performs digital portfolio analytics.
Collect data to build performance benchmarks and deliver broad strategy recommendations based on cross-client trend analytics. Extract core insights from data and performance to develop optimization strategies across tactics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related area
2-5 years of meaningful work experience
Must have the ability to translate data to end-user reporting tools. Advanced skills in MS Excel (including xlookup formulas, Tables, and Pivot Table creation and manipulation, graphing), PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
Intermediate skills with business intelligence and visualization tools, such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI
Solid understanding of data tools such as SQL coding, Microsoft Power Query/Pivot, and Alteryx
Must have knowledge of full software development and project management lifecycles, including process visualization with tools such as Visio, and the ability to execute and aid the creation of test scenarios and UAT coordination
Demonstrated understanding of programming techniques and infrastructure, naming and design standards, documentation, versioning, methodologies
Must be skilled in Customer Relationship Management data components and operations (end-user and management level use; CRM and analytics)
Experience implementing and managing software packages or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to coordinate and prioritize workflow; establish and meet critical deadlines
Critical thinking and the ability to translate business needs and requests into data structures that provide meaningful information, with outstanding oral and written communications skills
Preferred Requirements
Experience working with teams virtually and dependent on CRM and analytics
Familiarity with SharePoint document libraries, lists, and basic maintenance
Knowledge of medical terminology and/or data related to cardiovascular disease preferred
