The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for an Account Manager, Meetings & Events, Corporate Sponsored Projects based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX .
The Meetings and Events Team’s purpose is to be the trusted global leader in convening scientific meetings and experiences for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular innovation and knowledge dissemination.

Responsibilities
Sponsorship/Advertising Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive sponsorship and advertising strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Create compelling sponsorship packages and advertising opportunities tailored to the needs of potential partners.
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sponsorship and advertising opportunities into overall scientific conferences.
Maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
Manage revenue and budget for established portfolio while identifying potential cost savings and revenue gains.
Management of project timelines, deadline compliance and effective communication and dissemination of both.
Manage the production process, set up and distribution of Industry-funded promotional projects and services.
Communicate specs with industry partners and obtain artwork/or logos within timelines on assigned projects and programs.
Lead development of marketing for industry-funded projects and programs to maximize revenue potential by satisfying sponsorship visibility and extending the reach of the science. Ensure acknowledgement of sponsors.
Collaborate with our Corporate Relations Department on building a strategic approach to achieving shared revenue goals.
Conduct environmental analysis to gauge competitors’ products and stay up to date by traveling to other conferences and meeting with vendors on their newest technology and services

Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience (5 year preferred) in sponsorship/advertising execution, convention planning, administration, management or an equivalent combination of training and experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of meeting/convention planning and administration with working knowledge of meeting planning technology.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and basic accounting principles.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ideal candidate would have a proven track record with revenue generation experience.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communications.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to travel overnight approx. 20-30% of the time. Some travel may be required to support large events throughout the year.
