Due to the current pandemic, daily travel is minimal and voluntary to ensure the health and safety of staff. There is no overnight travel currently. In the future, this position may resume daily and/or overnight travel. All AHA offices are closed and staff are currently working from home. Offices will be reopening in October 2021; this position will resume to being based in the local office.
The American Heart Association is seeking a high energy and achievement driven Temporary Administrative Associate (4 to 6 months) to be part of the Greater Austin, TX Team!
This position will manage customer donor records, enter donor and donation information into the customer databases – Dynamics, and Auction Pay, build donor receipts, run reports, and provide direct field support – such as Customer Service, training, and troubleshooting issues . This position will be remote until Oct ober 12, 2021 , or until further CDC Guidelines advise, and requires reliable, high-speed (usually 3-5 megabits) hardwired internet connection, as well as dedicated workspace . The position will resume in a non-negotiable Hybrid schedule October 12, 2021 , as follow s : In office - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday ; Monday/Friday - Work from home option al . Should this position be offered a full-time placement , the position will resume non-negotiable, in-person in-office setting Monday thru Friday effective January 3, 2022. The fulltime position will also include required periodic travel, 8-10 times per year, or until further CDC Guidelines and American Heart Association restrictions advise

Skills required :
Ability to comfortably navigate Windows operating system
Ability to quickly learn new and complex software - experience with Greater Giving or similar nonprofit fundraising software is a plus
Ability to focus on a detailed, potentially tedious task for several hours while ensuring quality and accuracy
Ability to follow detailed directions
Commitment to complete and accurate data, as well as accurate spelling/grammar
Ability to interface with external and internal customers in a friendly, professional manner via phone or email
Intermediate Microsoft Word skills (mail-merging knowledge is a plus)
Intermediate Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
Office administration skills, including general clerical skills (e.g., basic computer knowledge, email etiquette, email organization, filing, typing, copying, telephone etiquette and office operations.
Ability to work in a team environment (e.g., effective interpersonal and customer relations skills)
Ability to effectively communicate via MS Teams (Microsoft Teams)
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Training & basic tasks with close supervision to be completed are:
Shared inbox protocols – how to view, file, and respond to emails
DRM data entry processes and management
Thank-you letter/receipt process
Canva training (to assist with time-consuming graphics projectswhen needed)
Social event context/requirements
Gathering RSVP/contact information
Mailing list updates
